1ヨハネ1:9:罪の告白と赦し

「本当のクリスチャンの特徴」とは？また、私達は罪を赦していただく為に、全ての「自分の罪を言い表わ」さなければ救われないのでしょうか？この簡単な説明と共に、「神は真実で正しい方ですから」と1ヨハネ1章9節から、みことばの糧をビクトリアからお届けします。

もし、私たちが自分の罪を言い表わすなら、神は真実で正しい方ですから、その罪を赦し、すべての悪から私たちをきよめてくださいます。第1ヨハネの手紙1章9節

もし、私たちが自分の罪を言い表わすなら：私達が行う行動によって神の赦しを得るのではありません。ただ神の恵みの故に、私達が（罪を認め）神の赦しの必要を認めた時、すぐに与えられるのです。そして無償の賜物である赦しは、不義からのきよめをもたらします。キリストの義（正しさ）を私達に転嫁してくださるので、神は私達を義と宣言して(正しい者として受け入れて)くださるのです。私達の罪を背負われたまさにキリストのその義が、私達に与えられるのです。 Reformation スタディバイブルより

罪を告白し続けることは、本当の救いを示しています。偽教師は自分たちが罪を犯していることを否定する一方で、まことのクリスチャンは自分の罪を認め捨て去るのです (詩篇 32:3–5; 箴言 28:13)。「言い表す(告白する)」と言う言葉は、神の視点から罪について認め、罪について神が言われるように同じことを言うことです。罪の告白は本当のクリスチャンの特徴で、神は告白している者をきよめ続けられるのです(7節)。すべての罪を一つ一つ告白する必要があることにフォーカスを置いているのではありません。罪からきよめられ赦していただく必要のある罪人であることを、クリスチャンはいつも認識して覚えておくことに、ヨハネは特に心を留めているのです(エペソ 4:32; コロサイ 2:13)。MacArthur スタディバイブルより

罪を言い表す：クリスチャンは、まず初めに救いを得る為に、その後は神と兄妹との関係を保つ為に、罪を言い表さなければいけません(3節)。真実で正しい方：「主は怒るのにおそく、恵み豊かである。咎とそむきを赦す」方であられます(民数記 14:18)。しかし、ヨハネは、悔い改めず罪を犯し続けることはクリスチャンの印ではないと明記しています(1 ヨハネ 3:6, 9) 。そして神はこのような「罰すべき者は必ず罰」すると警告があります(民数記 14:18)。 ESV スタディバイブルより

1 John 1:9 (RSB:ESV): If we confess our sins. God’s forgiveness is given as soon as we admit our need of it, not on the basis of any acts we have done to earn it, but solely because of His grace. The free gift of forgiveness carries with it purification from unrighteousness. God accepts us as righteous because He imputes to us the righteousness of Christ. 1 John 1:9 (MSB): 1:9 Continual confession of sin is an indication of genuine salvation. While the false teachers would not admit their sin, the genuine Christian admitted and forsook it (Ps. 32:3–5; Prov. 28:13). The term “confess” means to say the same thing about sin as God does; to acknowledge His perspective about sin. While v. 7 is from God’s perspective, v. 9 is from the Christian’s perspective. Confession of sin characterizes genuine Christians, and God continually cleanses those who are confessing (cf. v. 7). Rather than focusing on confession for every single sin as necessary, John has especially in mind here a settled recognition and acknowledgment that one is a sinner in need of cleansing and forgiveness (Eph. 4:32; Col. 2:13). 1 JOHN—NOTE ON 1:9 Christians must confess (their) sins, initially to receive salvation and then to maintain fellowship with God and with one another (v. 3). faithful and just to forgive. God is “slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, forgiving iniquity and transgression” (Num. 14:18).
