みことばの糧:ハバクク書2章3節

この幻は、定めの時について証言しており、終わりについて告げ、まやかしを言ってはいない。もしおそくなっても、それを待て。それは必ず来る。遅れることはない。

For still the vision awaits its appointed time;
it hastens to the end—it will not lie.
If it seems slow, wait for it;
it will surely come; it will not delay. Habakkuk 2:3 (ESV):

幻：この「幻」という言葉は、通常、神からの預言のメッセージを指しています(1歴17:15、箴言29:18)。このメッセージは、直ちに成就されなかった為に、不変の証言となりました。この預言の内容は、ハバクク書全体、または一部を指しているようです。定めの時…遅れることはない：この預言が成就される為には、定められた時間が経つ必要がありましたが、これは偽りやまやかしとして受け取られるべきではありません。むしろ、来たるべき約束の成就を主が確証して下さるで、その時が来るまでは（バビロンは）必ず続くのです。ハバククの幻（BC600頃）のはるか後に、バビロンに対するさばきは、BC539年10月29日にペルシャのクロス大王によってもたらされたのです。

Habakkuk 2:3 (RSB:ESV): vision. This word “vision” commonly refers to the prophetic message from God (see 1 Chron. 17: 15; Prov. 29: 18). This message was to be a permanent witness, since it would not be imminently fulfilled. The content may be the entire book of Habakkuk, or some shorter portion. appointed time … not delay. A fixed period must elapse before the prophecy will be fulfilled, but this should not be regarded as failure or deception.
