Zechariah 10:1 (ESV): Ask rain from the Lord in the season of the spring rain, from the Lord who makes the storm clouds, and he will give them showers of rain, to everyone the vegetation in the field.
Zechariah 10:1 (MSB): In light of the promised blessings of 9:17, the prophet encourages the people to request these blessings from the Lord, with confidence. There will be literal rain and latter rain (Apr./May) in the kingdom (cf. Is. 35:1–7) making the land flourish, but the promise here extends to refer to spiritual blessings (cf Hos. 6:1–3). The “latter rain” of spiritual grace and goodness from God will bring refreshment to people’s souls (cf. Is. 44:3). The MacArthur Study Bible
